I love going to Happy Hour after a stressful day at work with good company. First stop, Frida's for some yummy margaritas!

Then off to Katsuya. I love how the Happy Hour is not limited to the bar area. I chose to sit at the den to enjoy the view since the weather was perfect.

Just wanted to a very quick post from this weekend. Hope everyone had a very good Father's day! I didn't really get to do anything this special this weekend. I did dye my hair black again, just because the previous color was fading and I just love jet black.

I also did a little bit of shopping yesterday.I picked up a plain black maxi dress, pale pink scarf and a taupe blazer. I couldn't really take a good pic of the black maxi, but I will definitely post one of me wearing it (hopefully). I still need to buy a full lenght mirror cuz my last one broke in the process of moving.

REVIEW: BOSCIA LUMINIZING BLACK MASK

I wanted to do a quick review on Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask. I read about this on Sephora.com and decided to pick it up on a whim during my lunch break since it had such great 800+ reviews. Now onto my review:

The product costs about $34 USD, which I personally think is quite a bit pricey for a product that only comes with a little less than 3 oz keeping in mind that this is something you have to generously apply all over your face, which will also make it easier to peel off.

This stuff definitely pulls all the unwanted gunk on your face such as black heads, white heads, and clears out your pores. It does kind of hurt peeling the mask off, even pulling off some baby hair so I find applying a thicker layer helps to make peeling the mask off.

Try not to get it too close around the eyes (sensitive area). I made that mistake the first time I used it and it hurt like hell peeling it off that area!

Overall, my face definitely felt super smooth and looked more luminous after just one use. I did not see much difference in the size of my pores, which was one of my main concerns. I'm not sure if I could really recommend the product though because I know other alternative products that does the exact same thing for less the price.

CHICAGO TRIP

Hey everyone! I'm back from Chicago and had such a great time. Unfortunately, not only did I forget to take my DSLR and my point and shoot camera, which were in the same bag, my iphone, which is what I used to take photos during my trip broke! I've only had the iphone for a few months so it was still covered by a warranty, thank god!

I do have a few photos from my boyfriend's phone, which I used because I left my phone at the hotel. Overall, the weather was pretty yucky during our whole trip. It was very humid, extremely hot, then cold, raining, thunderstorms, etc. Regardless, Bejan and I had a really great quality time together!

LOU MALNATI'S

Of course, while we were in Chicago, we had to have deep-dish pizza! While walking around downtown Chicago, we asked a few locals which local pizzeria had the best deep-dish pizza, and while most say Giordano's was good and was a tourist attraction for deep-dish, most locals went and recommended Lou Malnati's for the "best" butter crust deep-dish pizza!

Upon ordering, we were advised that the deep-dish pizzas took about 30-45 minutes to bake so it was recommended to order appetizers and get comfy! We had the calamari and buffalo wings which were yum!

Finally, after the long wait, we were served the deep-dish pizza which was ginormous! We opted for the most popular pizza they had, which was the Lou Malnati's special, which had lean sausage and roma tomatoes with marinara and mozzarella cheese! After eating the appetizers, Bejan and I barely had room for a slice! The butter crust was amazing! You definitely needed to eat the pizza with a knife and fork!

STEVE MADDEN: TSUNAMII

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a quick haul post on a good deal I just got for my new Steve Madden motorcycle style rain boots: TSUNAMII, just in case you are interested and while it is still on sale in case you want to purchase one.

STEVE MADDEN: TSUNAMII

The retailed price is $79.99 but I got them on sale from Macys for $49.99! They come in different colors like Olive Green, Black and Navy Blue but I opted for the black ones with the red trim zipper on the back just because it will be much easier to match with outfits.

I will say that the boots run pretty true to size but just a tad bit narrow. I normally prefer my boots to be about an inch or two below my knee but being short, the height of the boot shaft is 15 1/2" so it does go all the way up to my knee but I like it so much so much so it's not too big of a deal.

I also love the "not so shiny" finish of the leather unlike most rain boots. It almost looks like leather and looks very stylish!

SHORT ROAD TRIP

Bejan and I took a very short trip to Sacramento this past weekend for his paintball practice and the weather was so terrible!!! It was pouring, there was hail the size of a golf ball and loud thunder that scared the heck out of me.

Since Bejan decided to drive the 5 hours + commute, I had pretty much nothing to do so I decided to take pics because the scenery was just so breathtaking. Can you believe I took these photos using my iphone?

I find it so funny how they alway misspell Bejan's name and mine whenever we go to Starbucks.

FUN FACT:

When I order drinks and my name is asked, I sometimes say my name is Ann/Anne just to make it easier because when I say ARN, they just have a hard time saying my name, yet alone spelling it lol!

I will be jetting off to Chicago tomorrow with Bejan and I am so excited! Too bad it's going to be raining throughout our whole trip but at least I get to wear my rain boots.

REVEW: THE BODY SHOP'S MATTIFYING SEAWEED DAY CREAM

I'm finally able to post a proper review on The Body Shop's Seaweed Day Cream. I do want to first say, that my skin is EXTREMELY oily with minor dry patches, acne prone, and very sensitive.

THE BODY SHOP: MATTIFYING SEAWEED DAY CREAM

The Body Shop offers a variety of skin care lines and the Seaweed line is for those who have combination skin/oily skin. This comes in 2 sizes, a mini at .51 oz for $4 USD, or the regular sized which is $16 USD for 1.7 oz. The price is quite reasonable especially for the amount of product you get.

I love the fresh scent of this cream, it's very light and does not linger. The product instantly absorbs on the skin, and very little goes a long way. It does NOT contain any SPF although the seaweed line does come with a moisturizer with SPF.

Although I bought this product in hopes of keeping my oily skin at bay, I find myself still blotting or touching up my makeup every other hour. Overall, I would only suggest this cream for those of you with combination skin.

A DATE AT THE FARMER'S MARKET

I love going to the Farmer's Market, which is held every Wednesday at my local mall's parking lot. I love the many different types of food you can eat, from Mexican food, Chinese, etc. And the moment I saw these Pupusas (a salvadoran dish, made with corn tortilla stuffed with cheese and meat), I just had to have it! The portion was HUGE and almost got me full!

The carne asada taco was so tender and yum!

Refreshing melon juice that reminds of the Philippines, where my grandmother would make this drink during summer, freeze it and eat like a popsicle.

There have been many great deals from my favorite places to shop recently that I just couldn't resist so I wanted to do a quick post.

PHILOSOPHY

I had a 40% off coupon for Philosophy.com so I decided to stock up on my HG cleansers. I have been using Purity and Microdelivery for about two years now and I love it! Being a product junkie that I am, I will stray from Purity/Microdelivery once in a blue moon to try other products but I always go back to these two! Both cleansers are super gentle on sensitive skin and does not break me out. I will definitely do a complete review on each cleanser on a future post.

THE BODY SHOP

The Body Shop recently had their Buy 3, Get 2 Free. I'm a big fan of their body butter, so I picked up my favorite in Shea Butter which helps with my extremely dry legs and soothes any irritation from having Eczema. The sales lady who was helping me at the time had the most luminous and smooth face ever and I just had to ask her about her skin regime. She was a big fan of the Vitamin C Capsules so I had to get that too lol!

SEPHORA

Sephora also had their 15% off deal last week so I picked up Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask that I've been wanting to try! It has gotten such great reviews on Sephora.com and I wanted to try it for myself.

FOREVER 21

Maxi dresses are perfect for Spring/Summer and Forever 21 has a great selection for a good price! I picked up two dresses in the same pattern, which I love but in different colors at 50% (originally $24.80 USD each). I just bought it yesterday so they may still have it in stock if you decide to get one for yourself.

ORIGINS: GINZING REVIEW, WRITING TAG & DATE NIGHT #2

I wanted to post a quick review on Origin's GinZing eye cream. If you don't get a full 8 hours of sleep, like myself, suffer from bags on your eyes, under eye circles, and puffiness, then you may want to read on.

ORIGINS: GINZING EYE CREAM

Since I had a change of hours at work, I have to get up much earlier and have not been getting enough sleep resulting in extremely under eye circles and major eye puffiness! Since I was very happy with my Origins Mimosa moisturizer, I decided to go back to the Origins counter to look for an eye cream and the sales person recommended this product to me and I am so glad that she did!

This product is a morning eye cream that instantly brightens your eye area as soon as you apply it and you will notice the puffiness immediately disappear. This product contains caffeine so you will feel a slight tingle and feel instantly awake and I just love that pick me up feeling without any irritation.

Since this is also a brightening cream, I apply less concealer on my under eyes and the makeup does not get cakey at all. The only thing for me is the fact that I would only use this in the morning, which meant I needed to purchase a separate eye cream for nigh time use, doubling up my expenses. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it and repurchase.

DATE NIGHT: BOILING SHRIMP

Boyfriend and I decided on sea food for our date night, which led us to Boiling Shrimp located in Thai Town in Hollywood. Think Boiling Crab without the long drive/traffic, big crowd and long wait.

The menu is pretty similar to what you would see at the Boiling Crab expect they also offer Thai Food. Overall, I thought it was pretty good! We both got the Medley Spice (all flavors) and the garlic bread was super yummy! I will definitely come back here again since it's only a few miles from work! Ok, without further ado, here are some pics!

iPad (64Gb Wifi + 3G)

My boyfriend was generous enough to get me the new iPad 2. I have been searching everywhere, from different Apple Stores to Best Buy. It was quite frustrating to get in line for something you are not guaranteed to get! I don't know how my boyfriend did it, but he was able to get me a white one, which was what I wanted. The only thing is he got me the Verizon one since that was all they had left. Nevertheless, I'm very grateful :)

And he surprised me with this little message, which I decided to use as my wallpaper. He's too sweet!

URBAN OUTFITTERS HAUL

One of my favorite stores to shop in. I picked up 3 long sleeve button down shirts ($39 USD each), which seems to be very in right now and a pair of Levis leggings ($58 USD).

I love the dark wash on the leggings. They fit very well and it's super comfy!

DATE NIGHT: THAI FOOD

Having opposite schedules, Bejan and I always try to at least have one date night per week. Its time we set aside to catch up and reconnect. This week was a movie (Your Highness) and Thai food for dinner. Photos were taken with my phone so please excuse the graininess and low quality.

KINNARA THAI RESTAURANT

Definitely one of the BEST Thai food places I have ever eaten at. Hidden in a strip mall in the Valley, I didn't expect much but it was so unexpectedly good!

The romantic ambiance in the restaurant was perfect for our date.

MANDALAY BAY CURRY

Red curry filled with fresh sea food for the boyfriend. This is probably the best red curry I have ever had and was perfectly spiced!

CRYING TIGER

Grilled rib eye steak topped with a chilled flavorful citrusy and spicy sauce. The steak was so tender and succulent, it just melts in your mouth!

PETITE SHOES - STEVE MADDEN

Happy Friday loves! I wanted to share a recent shoe haul and share a bit of my frustration with how difficult it is to buy shoes in womens size 4. Being so short at only 4'10 and having a curvy body type, I would say it is quite difficult to not only shop for clothes (without having to alter), and finding shoes that fit without having to pay a ton! I will admit, that if I do find shoes in size 4, I tend to buy all the colors it comes in because it's hard and rare to ever find size 4. With that said, my favorite department store to shop shoes for is Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack. They carry size 4 womens shoes and have a great selection!

STEVE MADDEN LEATHER LACE FLATS

I'm not really sure which style this is because shoes from Nordstrom Rack don't come with the shoe box, which I don't care for anyway. They were originally priced at $69.99 but I bought them for $39.99!

I love how cute it looks and the color is gorgeous! I'm still breaking them in and have worn it several times but it still feels a bit stiff but it has definitely gotten better and more comfortable. This is my first Steve Madden shoes in size 4 and I must say I'm a little disappointed, not because of the shoes, but because their website doesn't carry size 4, otherwise, that would have made my shoe shopping a whole lot easier. And if you are wondering why the website doesn't carry size 4, a rep told me that Steve Madden size 4s are only available and specially made for certain department stores like Nordstrom. NEW HAIR - BACK TO BLACK

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick update on my hair, which I have been obsessing about recently. As I've previously posted, I was debating whether I should dye my hair black because my hair color was uneven and I just couldn't stand my roots! I finally budged and decided to just dye it jet black to avoid fading and my previous auburn hair color showing through. The first week after I dyed my hair, it was so black and looked so unnatural and I did not like it all. Thankfully, the color has washed out a bit and it now looks very natural and my hear looks much healthier thanks to my new hair regime that I will post some other time.

THE BODY SHOP HAUL

Since the weather is getting a bit warmer, I wanted to change my skin regimen since my skin tends to get even more oily causing my skin to break out. So I went to The Body Shop during my lunch break and picked up a few products since they were also having such a great deal of buy 3 products and get 2 for free of equal or lesser value.

I decided to try Seaweed Line, which is for oily/combination skin and picked up the Clarifying Toner ($12 USD), Mattifying Day Cream ($16 USD)and the Ionic Clay Mask ($22 USD).

I am a fan of The Body Shop lotions and scented oils but I have never tried any of their skin care lines. I have read great reviews on the Seaweed line and I'm hoping this works for me. The price is fairly reasonable and you can't beat the buy 3 products and get 2 for free.

I am currently experiencing minor break outs, which is the usual case every time the season changes. I will definitely post a review and let you guys know how this works for me. Wish me luck!

COACH MADISON WRISTLET

Wristlets are just so convenient for days when you don't want to be carrying a purse around while running errands or just stepping out of the office to get lunch. After having my old Coach small wristlet for 4 + years, I decided it was time to get a new one.

I opted to go to Macy's instead of an actual Coach store because Macy's was having an awesome sale. Spend $100 or more and you get 25% off. How good is that?

Since my last Coach was made out of jacquard fabric, it easily got dirty and over the years, it just looked terrible! So I wanted something that was more easier to maintain and something bigger with more pockets vs. my old one which just had one pocket. I pretty much stuffed all my cards, receipts, cash and coins in that one pocket and it was quite annoying to have to look for my cards, coins and cash whenever I had to pay -_-

ROOM DECOR UPDATE

I'm finally able to post an update on my room decorating project since I've pretty much got all the essentials. As you can see, my bed and mattress have arrived and I couldn't be any more satisfied.

The photos were taken using my DSLR as I'm still trying to figure out how to really use it. I also thought it would be fun to convert some of the photos in black and white.

As I have stated on my previous home decor post, my inspiration was the W Hotel just because I love the modern look and appeal of the hotel. Since this is where we spend most of our time when we're home, we decided to spend more time really thinking about how we wanted the room to look and feel. I'm still not done as I still need to buy decorarations and wall art, but I'm so happy with what I've done so far that I couldn't wait to post an update :)

BED FRAME

The bed frame we bough is a Queen size, an upgrade from our previous Full size bed, although we really can't tell much of a difference. I got this on sale from Macys Furniture. Retail price is $1,099 USD but we paid $899 USD plus tax and delivery charge of $85 USD. It is currently NOT on sale, but I would highly suggest you wait until it is.

The bedding and pillows were all from Macys as well. You guys have to check out their Hotel Collection! It is more pricey but you really get what you pay for. Click HERE for the bedding I bought. All items are sold separately, such as the pillow covers, flat sheets, duvet cover, etc. The only thing I didn't buy were the black decorative pillow because I really didn't like it but bought 2 of the other decorative square pillow because I liked it more. No bed skirt for me as it doesn't go with my bed frame.

Here is my duvet cover.We can still use it since it is still chilly at night. It's black but almost looks dark violet? We did have to buy a duvet separately for $580 USD, which was the most expensive from all the beddings because we got a Level 5, which is heavier, more plushy and just oh so comfy. Click HERE.

I also really love the texture of the Cover, Euro and Decorative pillow case. It's very pebble like and smooth!

CLOUD SUPREME

I am so in love with our Tempurpedic bed. It is a great investment and it really does make a difference in your sleep. I find myself staying in bed longer in the weekends and not waking up with back pain like I used to.

PILLOWS

Also purchased from Macys' Hotel Collection. They are super fluffy and comfy! I'm really hoping they retain their shapes for a while for the money we paid. Standard size pillows retailed for $260 each but I got buy 1 get 1 free, which was a super awesome deal! It's on sale right now!!! Buy HERE! I also really love the Euro pillows for $80 USD each. They are perfect when you want to sit up to watch tv and/or read a book. Buy HERE!

DRAPES

Got the drapes from Bed Bath and Beyond. I had to order on line since they didn't have any drapes with the right measurements in stock. They also went on clearance 2 days after I bought it so I got a price adjustment. The color I got is Bisque but it comes in many different colors. Buy HERE!

NIGHT STAND & LAMP

I got both my night stand and lamp at Home Goods. The night stands were $79.99 each and were just the perfect height! I was super lucky to find them as I went to 3 different Home Goods looking for the right night stands for a good price!

The lamps were a steal for $39.99 USD each and it came with a light bulb! It was originally retailed for $158 USD and they look super expensive and very Hotel-ish.

If you are looking to re-vamp your room or home, I highly recommend Home Goods. They sell high quality home decor/furniture for a very good price!

I am still looking for some art work for the bare walls but I still don't really know what I want. Anyway, I hope I didn't bore you guys to death with my long post.

SUNDAY LOOK

I have a love and hate relationship with Sundays. In one hand, it's my day off, on the other hand, tomorrow is Monday and I'm back to work again. But I gotta love them long weekends since no work me on President's Day.

I've got no plans today since it's so cold out but got ready anyway since I may just go out to the mall and check out what's on sale for the President's day holiday today so I decided for a "natural" look. Just enough makeup to make me look NOT tired lol.

FOTD

Just some face powder, do your brows, mascara, can't forget the eye liner, a little shimmering eye shadow to highlight your brow bone and inner eyes, blush and voila.

On a cold weather, I prefer to wear lip balm to keep my lips from getting chapped. I'm using Blistex's Lip & Shine. Definitely one of my favorites because it's inexpensive and it keeps my lips moisturized and feeling smooth!

First of all, my skin type is very oily, acne prone and sensitive, so it can be difficult for me to find products that suit my skin type with minimal or no side effects.

Priced at $45(USD), some of you might consider it pricey.

Overall, I give this product a 9 out of 10. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it especially if you have sensitive skin acne prone.

A RELAXATION TIP

I just love scented candles and my absolute favorite is vanilla. Lighting up a candle or scented oil about an hour before going to bed relaxes me and helps me fall asleep in no time.

So if you find yourself having trouble falling asleep, or if you're one of those people who lay in bed for quite a long time trying to fall asleep regardless of how tired you are, then I highly suggest you try this. You can also do this as a way to relax on a quiet/romantic evening, during a bath, etc. There are tons of scents to choose from like lavender, exotic fruits and more.

If you're wondering what that thing is next to the candle in the photo, it's my Fu dog that I keep on my nightstand on each side of the bed for protection (feng shui).

Of course, make sure you blow out the candle just before going to sleep or leaving the room for safety reasons.

RAMEN TO THE RESCUE

Since I'm still getting over the flu, I was really craving for soup, Bejan and I decided to have ramen and sushi. I had the Mabo ramen which had tofu and ground beef and pork, which was so good.

Dragon roll was yummy even though my taste pallet was a bit off due to my flu :(

And unfortunately, no room for dessert since the ramen and sushi filled up my tummy pretty good.

Btw, this is such a random post because I'm trying out this new app I downloaded called "Blogpress" for $2.99. I find it pretty neat since I can now blog wherever and whenever. How cool is that?!

ACCENT WALL

Happy Friday everyone! I'm so glad it's Friday, though I haven't really been at work for the past 3 days since I've been out with the flu. On another note, I finally got my accent wall painted. Sorry the quality of the photo is not that great since I used my phone. The color is called "COLD STEEL" and it's a very light gray color that almost look like a periwinkle blue and I love it!

My bed was also delivered but I'll save the photos for another post since I still need to shop for my nightstands, window treatments and lamps.

Hey all! I can't believe how the weekend just went by so fast and it's Monday again. I don't know how I draggeed myself out of bed this morning even though I'm not really feeling well and the last thing I wanted to do was go to work. But then again, don't we all feel that way on Mondays?

Anyway, I haven't really posted any recent photos of myself, so I figured I'd post one with Bejan. My hair is still dark but the dye seems to be fading so my hair is getting a bit lighter. I can't stand my dark roots but I'm trying to NOT dye my hair for now in hopes for a much healthier hair. Let's see how long I can stand it until I give in to dyeing it.

1. I wear sweats and tee's a lot. I'm all about comfort.

2. I love my flats and rarely wear heels.

3. I have sensitive ears and don't let anyone touch them. My family knows this and my sister would tease me often and try to touch them just to annoy me.

4. I can speak Tagalog fluently (Filipino).

5. I don't like shopping for clothes. Being so petite and having a difficult time to find clothes that fit take the fun away from shopping.

6. I don't like veggies and most fruits. I know I have poor nutritional diet >.<>

7. I am always sick and a regular at my Doctor's office. I actually have an appointment today lol! I really should start eating more healthy and that's on my New Year's resolution list.

MOVING IN

This weekend was my moving day. I can't believe how the weekend came by so fast. I have a whole week to move and haul all my stuff and it's been pretty exhausting since Bejan doesn't have weekends off and I'm pretty much left to do all the organizing.

I've decided to take photos so I can share a few with you guys and so I can keep it for reference for my BEFORE & AFTER for my decorating project.

LIVING ROOM

I'm planning on leaving the walls white and maybe adding window treatments since the blinds just looks kind of boring and plain. The walls definitely seem bare but I'm sure wall art can fix. But for now, I want to focus on decorating my bedroom before moving on to the living room since I spend way more time in my room than I do in the living room.

I decided not to buy new shower curtains and use my old one because I love it so much plus, I can save more money by doing so.

One of the first things we moved in were our tvs since the cable/internet guy was coming for installation. Bejan can't live without his tv and Xbox while I can't live without my internet. We also decided to purchase a new tv for our living room since we wanted to keep our current one for the bedroom so I don't have to whine about wanting to watch and Bejan wanting to play a little longer.

We got the SAMSUNG LED TV 55"/1080p/240Hz/3D. It was on sale at Bestbuy for $2499 and it came with a free Samsung 3d Bluray player along with 2 3D glasses. It retails $3499 so it was a really good deal! If you are looking to buy a tv, I say you check out Bestbuy since they currently have a lot of promos!

The tv stand was was also a steal! We got it at Target for $159! Assembly was not that difficult and it looks a lot more expensive than the price we paid for. BUY HERE

LET'S KINECT

Happy Friday everyone. I'm back with another post. So one of my New Year's Resolution is to lose weight and be fit and I figured why not try being more active and have fun doing it? Heck, I'm still trying to get rid of a couple of pounds I gained over the holidays lol! I've been hearing lot's of good things about XBOX's Kinect so Bejan and I decided to purchase one along with several games and a tripod to keep it steady above our tv.

One of the games we got and played first was DANCE CENTRAL and OMG, it is so much fun to play! I never thought Bejan would want to play/dance with me but he did and he had lot's of fun so Ladies, it's BF approved! Not only that, it's also a work out because you will SWEAT and it's a whole lot better and more fun than driving to the gym abd getting on the treadmill. It's too bad Bestbuy didn't have the ZUMBA FITNESS one because I heard that one really helps you lose weight and get fit.

Bestbuy happened to be next to this dessert spot and I just couldn't resist! In my mind, I was thinking, it's ok to have a crepe since I will be burning off the calories by playing Kinect! They also have Brick Toast but I opted for the crepe since it seems like it would have less calories lol.

I started off with Peach Mango Tea and Bejan had Peach Smoothie with peach chunks while we wait for our crepes.

MY DREAM ROOM IN THE WORKS

I'm so excited! Bejan (lover) and I decided to purchase the bed frame. It looked even more gorgeous in person. The Ivory color was stunning and the fabric is very easy to clean and maintain, which is a definite plus.

Here is a photo I managed to snap at the show room. I used my phone so the quality isn't so great. As for the storage bench, it was a lot bigger in person so I am still debating whether I should purchase it. I'm gonna have to wait until the bed frame has been delivered so I can see how much room I will have between the bed and the tv stand.

Bejan and I also purchased our new mattress to go with the bed frame. We decided on the Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme, which is so plushy,comfy and provides good support, which should help relieve my constant lower back pain. Unfortunately, both mattress and bed frame will not be delivered until February 3rd. The wait is going to feel like forever but for now, I'm going to focus on the perfect bedding and room decor. Hopefully, that would make the wait a little more bearable.

The theme I'm going for is very hotel like and I'm thinking the W Hotel. Since my room is where I spend most of my time at home, I want it to have a getaway and relaxing feeling, if that even makes sense lol.

Macys has been my favorite place to shop (where I bought my bed frame and mattress) and they carry a HOTEL COLLECTION for bed and bath so I will definitley be checking that out and will keep you guys posted throughout my home decor project.

Long time no blog! Even though it's way too late, I'd like to greet you all a very belated Happy New Year! I hope you all are having a fantastic year so far.

I've been away from blogging for so long, I wondered whether I should just delete my blog. But then I thought, blogging was a way for me to reach out and connect with others, make "cyber" friends, and most of all, express myself. I find it quite difficult to do this somehow in real life. But not being able to blog for so long, made me feel like I've lost connection. Weird I know.

Anyway, to kick off this new year, I will be moving. I know moving can be extremely exhausting, but to me, it's very exciting because it means I can re-decorate my new abode. I swear I've spent long hours looking at home decor and furnitures online and I figured, why not blog about it so I can get some feedback? So here we go!

Here is the bed frame I am really loving. I think it's very pretty and chic! I just love the modern look, tufted headboard, the low profile and how it's padded and upholstered throughout. Although the bed frame comes in 4 different colors, I am in love with the Ivory color (as shown on the photo below). I usually steer clear from lighter fabrics on furnitures because I want something easy to maintain but I just fell in love with the Ivory and refused to compromise on the color. Thank God Macys offers a 7 year protection plan, so this helps me feel at ease, should I ever stain or dirty the frame for whatever reason.

The bed also has a matching storage bench, which you can see on the photo below. I am still on the fence with this one as I am trying to make sure I have enough room for it since I will also have a tv stand in front of my bed and I don't want my room to look cluttered. I'm going to have to wait and see on this one.

Here's a closer look on the headboard. It's pretty thick and looks very well made, unlike the thin ones I've seen, which tends to look cheap?

OCTOBER JUST WASN'T MY MONTH

Hey everyone! I know I haven't blogged in ages and even failed my 30 day blogger challenge because so much things came up and October just isn't my month >.<"

HAIR UPDATE

Since the weather is cooling down and the season has changed to fall, I have decided to dye my hair darker (dark brown). I just think it suits the cooler season more than my previous hair color, which was more auburn.

PRODUCTS I USED

2 boxes of ION Color Brilliance Hair Dye (creme) in Darkest Brown

Salon Care 20 Volume Creme Developer

ION Repair Solution Treatment Pack - I used it as conditioner after I washed off the hair dye to lock in some moisture, as hair tends to dry, especially the tips after dyeing it. This also softens your hair!

MY POOR BABY

I have driven on the same lane on the same freeway for over 5 years and this is the first time this has happened to me. I was driving on a freeway no more than 40 mph since as always, it's traffic. Suddenly the car in front of me runs over something (I assume it was a tire since it was black) and it came flying towards my car. I was on the very left lane and since there was traffic, I couldn't really change lanes to avoid it and bam!!!! The damn thing hit my car and as I looked on my rear view mirror, the "black thing" was also hit by the car behind me.

All I hear was a lous "thud" but didn't bother stopping on the freeway because it was rush hour. As I drove to work, I just felt so bothered by it so as soon as I got to the parking structure, I turned off the ignition and rushed to look at my front bumper to make sure there was no famage. Sure enough, I see that big ugly CRACK! My initial reaction was OMFG!!!

I called my insurance as soon as I got to my desk and took it to the body shop my dealer recommended to make sure they use legit lexus parts.

I was without my car for a little over a week (boyfriend's sister let me use her car) and had to pay my $500 deductable, which really sucks but I'm also glad that I have insurance, or I would have paid $2000 to get my baby fixed. Now she's as good as new :)

Being carless for a week sucked. Even though I didn't go to work that whole week because of being sick and due to a minor surgery I had after I dropped off my car to the shop. I am still healing and hopefully get back to being at 100% ASAP and get back to blogging and twitter.

My Grandmother

I affectionately call her Nanay, which in tagalog means "mother." She has raised me since I was a few days old until I was about 9 years old when my parents decided that it was time for me to live with them, my brother and 2 sisters in America. Looking back now, I think that was the most difficult time of my life. To be separated from her and live with my family who I barely knew.

It's not that parents didn't want me. My older sister was only one at the time I was born and it would have been difficult for my parents to raise 2 babies. This was very common in the Philippines so it wasn't a big deal and I was not bitter about it.

Growing up and as I child, she taught me values and really tried to be an example. She would tell me stories from back when she was young and how she would never let anyone put her down. I guess that's where I get my strong personality. I'm quite hard headed lol.

She has gone thru so many hardships in life from giving birth to premature twin girls who days after passed away, raising a child with down syndrome, and dealing with my grandfather's death (1999) and yet she is able to smile every day and thank god.

I'm going to keep this short even though I can go and and on, and end this post here before I start crying. I'm always emotional when it comes to her. I just thank god she is still strong and healthy today.

A PICTURE OF SOMEWHERE YOU'VE BEEN TO.

MARIVELES, BATAAN PHILIPPINES

This is the province where I was born and where both of my parents currently reside. It's a beautiful province (as you can see from the photos) surrounded by exotic white sand beaches! Where the air is fresh and the locals are very friendly!

My mom would tell me as a young child that I was born with reddish brown hair, and that was because I was born by the beach. Although I was born in Mariveles, my grandmother raised me since I was days old in a different province but I would come to Mariveles during summer vacation and spend time with my parents, brother and sister.

I remember those summer days, where there would be low tides. My mom would take us to the beach early morning for a walk as our morning exercise as a family. You can walk about half a mile or so in the water and the water would still be shallow up to my knees and keep in mind I was very little then lol!

Gorgeous isn't it? Although I haven't been back for more than 10 years, my sister who just went last year says everything still looks the same. Not much has changed. Maybe I'll go back for a vacation soon.

2. This was my uncle's favorite song, "Making Love out of Nothing at all" by Air Supply. Maybe that's why I love Air Supply, Journey, The Eagles, Bee Gees, etc. since I listned to all these songs as a child.

3. "All coming back to me now" by Celine Dion was a popular song in the Philippines, right before I left for the U.S.

4. "Unbreak my heart" by Toni Braxton since it was the most popular song I remember that played all the time on the radio when I arrived in the U.S.

5. "Quit playing games with my heart" by the Backstreet Boys when I was in middle school. Yeah I was a fangirl!

6. "I want you back" by NSYNC came out and I dumped Backstreet Boys and was a major Justine Timberlake fan! Who could resist those curls? LOL

7. "One love" by 1 TYM was a KPOP song I really liked. I was really into KPOP once I discovered a channel on my cable that played KPOP music videos.

8. "Because I'm a girl" by KISS. Another KPOP song and is one of my ultimate favorite song/music video. It's really sad. Makes me cry everytime I see it. Click here to watch.

OVER-EATING (otherwise known as bingeing)

I eat when I'm bored. I eat when I have nothing better to do. I eat when I'm not hungry. I eat until I'm full that I can't take another bite.

At this point, it's really uncontrollable. It's hard to really admit that this is a PROBLEM. I just don't think I have control.

For example: I woke up this Sunday morning and the first thing I think about is what I'm going to eat. So I went to Starbucks and got myself green tea, a toffee mocha frap and indulged myself with 3 mini donuts.

Yeah, that wasn't enough. So I drove across the street, and got myself some DEL TACO (my favorite fast food place) and ate:

So here's a photo I recently took of myself on my birthday (Sept. 20th). I was waiting in line with my boyfriend for the Tram Tour/King Kong 3D ride at Universal Studios. I decided to do a little cam whoring to entertain myself, while my bf and I waited. Moving on with the facts.

1. I've had my tongue, nose, eyebrow, belly, ears, and side lip pierced. I only kept my belly and ears pierced :)

2. I don't have any tattoos.... YET

3. I am 2 years older than my bf.

4. I curse a lot!!!

5. I can't go to sleep without taking a shower first. Being clean soothes me and knocks me out in no time.

6. I am extremely obsessed with reading manga and watching anime.

7. I am very insecure about my weight.

8. I'm a cry baby! Whether I'm watching a sad movie, or listening to a friend's problem, you bet my ass is crying! When someone I care about is hurt. I'm hurt.

9. It's hard for me to get over things. Some people just move on faster.

10. I got suspended in middle school once for getting into a fight with a classmate.

LONG STORY SHORT: She talked so much shit about me but I didn't give her my time of day. She finally got fed up, and while walking to my next class, the bitch pulled my hair! WTF?! Of course, my initial reaction was to defend myself and punched her. Funny how she hit me up on facebook, apologized for being immature and we're now friends LOL!

11. I lived in the Philippines until I was about 9 years old. I can still speak and read Tagalog.

12. I would rather spend my money on food than anything else.

13. I'm very talkative. I can talk for hours!!!

14. I took ceramic class for three years in high school and sold most of my pieces for charity. I also won most artistic award in senior year in high school :)

15. I can't swim.

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a good Monday. I finally had time and some contents to post on my blog :) Like my recent posts, it will consists of food! I've been eating out way too much, I know lol!

Anyway this past Sunday, I had lunch with a friend and here's my fotd! It's my usual everyday look. Didn't want to go overboard, since I haven't seen him since my junior year in high school and I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard. And let me tell you, I was so conscious of myself since I've gained weight since he last saw me lol! If you are ever in Los Angeles, you have to stop by UMAMI BURGER! The restaurant was pretty packed, so we had to wait a little less than an hour, but if you're with good company, the wait doesn't really seem too long!

They have 3 different locations around LA (please check the website for locations).

The atmosphere is pretty chill. They have a full bar inside, and he servers were pretty hip and nice.

They usually offer different "seasonal" burgers, and varies depending on the location you go to.

THE CRABMELT BURGER

My sister is not a fan of beef burger so she opted for the seasonal Crabmelt Burger. It was pretty good and loaded with real crab meat!

TEMPURA ONIONS

This was so yummy! Perfect side to my Umami Truffle Burger! The onions were slightly sweet and the outside was crisp! Definitely recommend it!

UMAMI TRUFLE BURGER

OMG!!! This was orgasmic! It was perfectly cooked (medium rare). I'm not a fan of rare or medium rare but this burger was so beefy and juicy! I can definitely tell the meat was of high quality. It was very flavorful and savory...

I'm sure you can request for the patty to be well done, but why would you???!!!!!

Ohh! And the bun was out of this world good! It's sweet and fluffy. Perfect pair with the medium rare beef patty, topped off with italian truffle cheese and truffle glaze.

Since Umami had a full bar, I decided to get myself a drink. While my companions had Umamiritas and Scotch, I got me a Kirin beer :)

RAMEN & MY CRAZY NAIL POLISH HAUL

I don't know about you, but there are days when I just suddenly crave for certain foods. Twitter is definitely a big influence where you see people tweeting about what they're eating and I'm looking at a delicious photo and I'm like... I gotta have that today!

I happen to see Giang tweeting about ramen so right away, I get on YELP to look for ramen spots close to my area. Unfortunately, there is not many near my area, but there are plenty in Sawtelle and we decided on Chabuya Tokyo Noodle Bar, based on some photos and review on YELP.

AGEDASHI TOFU

Tofu lightly coated with cornstarch and deep fried tofu. Then served with a broth of dashi soy sauce topped with green onions. It was yummmmmmy!!! I definitely recommend it!

SPICY PORK RAMEN aka "KARA KARA"

Got mine with deep fried garlic chips, hard boiled egg, green onions and extra chashu pork.

The broth was very rich and the garlic chips were crispy and added kick to my ramen. The chashu pork was delicious with enough marble of fat to make it juicy but it was very thin. The hard boiled egg was a bit overcooked for my taste but not really a big deal.

Overall the ramen was good, except the noodles were a bit blah. They were white and straight. Different from the usual ones I like, yellow, a bit thick and curly. Unfortunately, I had no room for dessert since they ramen was a pretty decent size.

NAIL POLISH HAUL

On my last blog entry, I talked about going to Imperial Palace with Giang and Ria. Nail polish was dirt cheap and I just couldn't resist and might have gone overboard with my haul lol! I tend to like pastel colors and picked up only one dark color, because Giang said it was Kim Kardashian's favorite nail polish lol! So here's what I got.

So I stopped by Tokyo Outlet Store today, since I was already at the same plaza to pick up a little storage basket, where I could store my new nail polishes and I found the perfect size! Best of all, it was only $1.99! I regret only getting one. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely try to pick up a couple more, as I am sure my collection will grow lol!

The beautiful ladies: Giang & Ria

This was my actual first time meeting up with beauty bloggers and I had such a great time thanks to Giang and Ria. They were both so sweet and beautiful in person! Of course, I was nervous, because I didn't know what they were gonna think of me, like ohh she looks nothing like her photos on her blog, etc. But they were both so nice, and we all talked like I've known them forever!

Our first stop was at Yojie's Shabu Shabu, which I have been craving for! Thanks for letting me pick lunch :) Too bad I have no photos to post. You guys should've seen the portion I had compare to Giang's and Ria's lol! *EDIT* Here's another photo of the 3 of us. Look at all that meat I ate by myself compare to Giang's on the right. Ria had an even smaller plate of meat than Giang. And yes, I finished all my meat :)

Next stop was Guppys where we had coconut brick toast with vanilla ice cream and red milk tea boba. So good, again no photos as we were all too caught up in our con

versations in getting to know each other :) *EDIT* Got the photo from Giang. She's so slick lol!

Giang also introduced me to Imperial Palace! Nail polish galore for dirt cheap. Will post my haul on another entry :) *EDIT* Here's a preview of what I got.

FOOD TRUCK HOPPIN'

Food Trucks!!!

They have been all over LA serving up gourmet dishes and desserts from Korean BBQ tacos, Takoyaki (octopus balls), cup cakes, Ramen, and the list just goes on!!! Seeing these trucks, I can't help but be curious but check them out, though I understand some of you may think food trucks can be questionable lol!

Ever since I've tried food from one of these trucks, I've been hooked and now want to try all of them!!! It seems to be a trend and getting even more popular lately. Luckily, there are always trucks at Sawtelle (Exit is Olympic from the 405 South). It's a street full of Japanese/Asian restaurants and market, where I go to satisfy my curry crave.

I know they have the Food Fest coming up on August 28th in the OC where a lot of these gourmet food trucks will gather and those lucky enough to buy a ticket can indulge themselves with different varieties of food these food trucks have to offer.

Most of these trucks usually have a twitter/facebook account or even websites to post a location schedule or announce the location and the hours where they will be parked so you can head out to these truck locations without a problem :)

KRAZY BBQ

I made my first stop at Krazybbq and decided to try their beef taco. It was so GOOD! The beef was very juicy, tender and tasty! I swear it was an orgasm in my mouth! The best taco I've had so far - no joke :) The KB salsa along with cilantro, tomatoes and cabbage was fresh and really added a kick to the already amazing beef.

Next truck stop, THE SHRIMP GUYS!

And let me tell you guys, this truck is my current favorite truck!

I am a shrimp lover so I definitely had to check out THE SHRIMP GUYS. While walking towards the truck, I can already smell the aroma of the shrimp and spices that got my taste buds screaming "walk damn faster" lol!

The bf and I took a look at the menu and decided to each try the 2 main entrees they served in large portion since all that shrimp aroma got us hungry.

SPICY GARLIC BUTTER SHRIMP

Go ahead and click on this picture and look at all that garlic bits along with some spices. Ohh and try not to drool over your keyboard!

The dish was served in a pretty good portion with plenty of big succulent shrimp, cooked just right! I love the buttery spicy sauce, which they also put over the rice. Man, how I would love to eat this right now -_-

SPICY COCONUT LIME SHRIMP

aka "COCO LOCO"

BF got the spicy coconut lime shrimp and it was just as good as the butter shrimp. It tasted like curry and was a bit more spicy than the garlic one. The sauce was very flavorful and tangy with tropical spices that just bursts in your mouth! Aghh, shrimp guys where have you been all my life?!!!

And of course, to wash all that spicy goodness down, we got tropical punch. So refreshing I tell you!

To conclude my night, of course I MUST make my stop at Volcano Tea. This place has the best milk tea! Better than the usual Lollicup Chain and Tapioca Express! I never leave this plaza without getting my usual milk tea served by these cute chinese girls lol!

By Sunday, I was feeling a lot better and only had one thing in mind... Go out and eat Japanese Curry!!! So I called my sister, told her to be at my apartment by 11:30 am so that we could roll out just in time for lunch. Since the weather was also beautiful, I thought I'd take my DSLR with me, just to take random photos for fun.

Here I am looking like a "tourist" lol!

HURRY CURRY OF TOKYO

If you ever ask me what my favorite food is, I'd have to say Japanese Curry (specifically from Hurry Curry). I can seriously eat this everyday, no joke!

All entrees start off with a salad! I love their ponzu dressing. It's very light, tangy and healthy.

I love curry beef! Their beef is so tender and juicy, it seriously falls apart when you stir it! I love mine EXTRA spicy!

Paired with rice of course! Although, you do have an option for brown rice or pasta. I find white rice the best! I like to scoop mine and eat it off and scoop another, while some people like to pour the whole bowl over the rice/pasta. It's all about preference.

They also serve Japanese style pasta. Here's the seafood pasta my sister got. It was yummy and drenched with sauce (that's how she likes it). Funny how she tells me to get out of my box and order something different once in a while.

After eating, we headed out to the TOKYO OUTLET STORE, which is in the same plaza. It's like a mini J Town. They sell lots of miscellaneous Japanese items, from cook wares, tea cups, anime, and best of all, Japanese beauty products. Just take a look at their stock!

Clerks at the store are very friendly, and were always helpful with explaining what products are for, since I obviously don't read or speak japanese.

Time for dessert at Beard Papa's, which was across the street from Hurry Curry.

I love this Beard Papa's because they offer other varieties of desserts other than the usual creme puffs!

But my favorite... Fondant Chocolate :)

Since it can get a tad sweet, I like to pair it with Perrier!

Ohh and here's a random shot of my Balenciaga from playing around with my DSLR... I love how the lamb skin has aged and given the bag more character. I still need to learn how to use my DSLR and can't wait to start taking better pics :)

DEWY SUMMER LOOK

Hey everyone! Hope you all are enjoying weekend so far. I've been so sick lately so I've been stuck at home for the past couple of days trying to recuperate. Hopefully, I am back at 100% by Monday. Don't know how I got sick during this summer. Kind of bummed out but I'm just trying to get better :)

So I did my usual everyday look and added a little "umph" by highlighting my upper cheek bones with a MAC MSF in Smooth Merge. Click HERE to see products I used on my face. I liked how it made me look dewy without looking greasy like I usually do since my skin is EXTREMELY oily.

Btw, I took all photos below with flash so my face looks lighter than my neck and chest. I couldn't make the glowy look visible on the photos and it looked much better in person lol! I was too lazy to take photos with my DSLR since it's bulky lol! Right now I am currently an NC42 but I get tanned easily so I might have to get re-matched with a sightly darker foundation soon.

Blush I used was from the FAFI Collection - HIPNESS. It's a coral peachy color! Perfect for summer :)

Here's the MSF I used in SMOOTH MERGE. It's a very pretty pinkish and adds a very luminous look! Can be used with blush or on its own.

Here's a swatch:

Very left is more goldy, middle is magenta and right is pinkish. Mix it all together and you get a golden pink :)

Ohh, and I got this cool contact lens case from TARGET. I thought it was very convenient since I don't have to keep screwing and unscrewing the lens case since I'm that lazy lol! It comes in various design but I thought this one was cute since I've been into green lately. It retailed for about $4 USD I think.

It takes a little use to opening it since you just pop it open. Honestly, it was a little difficult to open at first, I guess you just gotta "break it in" LOL!

FACT NO.1

My real name is ARN. Not short for anything and my middle name is Louie. Friends call me Arn while my relatives like to call me Louie lol! Arn doesn't mean anything. My dad simply wanted to name me after himself (Arnold) and my mother (Lourdes). How creative right?! I never really liked my name much and always got teased about it. Children can be so mean but I can't imagine being named any other name.

FACT NO. 2

I'm very short... as in 4'10 short hence the nickname FUNSIZE! Although my friends have given me tons of nicknames from munchkin, to shorty, the list just goes on but Funsizee always just stuck with me :)

FACT NO. 3

I have very sensitive skin. I suffer from severe case of Eczema and allergic to chicken :(

I love spicy food! I put hot sauce on almost everything! Ohh and I like all my food saucy. I'm the kind of person to always ask for extra sauce :P

I am a green tea addict. I drink at least 3 venti iced green teas daily from Starbucks. I am a zombie without it -_-

Bejan (my bf) got him for me to keep me companied and so I don't get lonely since I get home earlier and he gets home later from work. He's full of energy and always running around. He only stays still when I rub his little tummy :P This is him when he was a puppy. .

Bejan got him for me on Christmas since I've been wanting a little brother for Mr. Wiggles to keep him companied while Bejan and I are at work/school. He's very sweet and loves to be carried. He clings on to me like a little koala lol! Aww my little Neezy Bear. He's so cuddly :)
